I was very sorry to learn of the passing of Alastair. Alastair and I were great mates in the 1950and 60s when he and his brothers lived with their parents in Burnside Ave, Mt Albert, Auckland. We attended Gladstone Rd Primary School together and were in the same year. After-school activities included the local Chamberlain Park golf course of playing golf and finding lost golf balls. Then there were the gun pits, the creek and of course playing cricket in the street outside their house. Inside activities during inclement weather included Monopoly, and picking 'winning' horses for that Saturday's racing. When the Falloons left for Christchurch in around 1964 it left a big gap in the lives of the local boys. Will always remember Alastair with his cheeky laugh and his keenness of golf. Rest in peace Alastair. My condolences to Helen, his family and all of his brothers.
