On October 13, 2023 he passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital after hip surgery, needed because of a fall, in his 92nd year. Much cherished by his wife, Robin and much loved by his children and respective partners, John and Prue, Lesley and Chris, and Sue and Mike. Great supporter of his grandchildren Tessa, Matt, Aimee, Jaden, Bailey, Simon, Tim, Hannah, Danni and Robi. And a great grandad of Zavier and Riley. Generous, witty, and helpful friend to Craig, Julie and Trevor, Wayne and Viv, and Yoko. He was a valued member of Rotary and Probus and during his time was engaged in many community service projects. He was an extraordinary planner and advisor on travel itineraries for people heading overseas and in his trips. His funeral will be on Tuesday, October 17, at 2.00pm, at Lamb and Hayward, 467 Wairakei Road, Westpark Chapel. All welcome. Thank you to all who contributed to his life.
