As a shock to us all, Derek passed away at Christchurch Hospital, on March 22, 2024, aged 82 years. Cherished husband and soulmate of Margaret for 60 years, special dad of Glenn, and Tracey, and father-in-law of Nicki, and Adrian, much loved Poppa of Cam, Jamie, Britt, and Isaac, brother and brother-in-law of Judy and Henry, and Christine and the late David. A service to celebrate and remember Derek’s life will be held in our Oaklands Chapel, corner Halswell Junction and Wigram Roads, Halswell, on Wednesday, March 27, at 2.30pm, followed by a private cremation.
