01/08/1934 – 04/08/2024 – Suddenly, at Akaroa, on Sunday evening, August 4,2024, aged 90 years.  Loved husband and best friend of Pam for 68 years.  Loved dog dad of Renie, adored father and father-in-law of Leigh and Robin, Dean and Linda, and Jason and Jennifer.  Loved and best Grandpa and Papa of Brooke, Jesse, Livia, Carter, Alex, Blake, Caitlyn, and Devon.  Much loved Great-Grandpa of Khalessi, William and Zane, Reubene and Emmett, and Chace and Cohen.  Loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to all. Des will be resting at home in Akaroa until late Saturday afternoon, for those wishing to pay their respects.
