(Reg. No. 36959, Cpl, NZ Army, Reg. No. MX53010, Royal Navy) On December 19, 2024, passed away peacefully at home, in his 99th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Patricia (Pat), much loved father and father-in-law of Peter, Ann and Paul Knight, Phillip, Lynette and Aldo Durelli, loved Grandad of Toni, Daniel, and Jason; Michael, and James; Adrian, and Lisa, and a loved Great-Granddad of Hunter, Sarah, Keira, and Riley. Loved brother of the late Pat, and loved uncle to his nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to Papanui RSA would be appreciated, and may be made to bank account: Poppy Trust 02-0800-0088274-02.  A memorial service to celebrate the life of Doug will be held in our Oaklands Chapel, corner of Halswell Junction and Wigram Roads, Halswell on Friday January 24, at 2.30pm.
