We remember Frank with much love as John's Uncle, married to Aunty Margaret, John's mother's sister. Such an interesting yet quiet, modest man. We tried to see them as often as we could when in the South Island, most recently at their home in Woodend, always for a cuppa, a look at his marvellous cars, and lots of good conversation. Both always so gracious. We are sad we cannot be there for his farewell. Our love to all the family John and Pauline

Frank actually interviewed me for my starting ‘volunteer’ job with Rhema back in Christchurch in 1988. At the time he was Radio Rhema’s (and UCB International’s) Vice President. I have very fond memories of working with him. In the 90’s Frank and I travelled to Melbourne and did a 2 week road trip, visiting various communities where UCB International had registered interest in a Community Licence. This was ground breaking work for many of the Christian Stations people in Australia enjoy today. Frank was always a very ‘hand’s on’ bloke and there is a great old photo of him, gas axe in hand, chopping off the rear end off the bus that would become Rhema’s mobile studio. He loved his cars, and was a regular at Turners Auctions - keeping the Rhema 'fleet' updated. I have always had the utmost respect for Frank. He was a quietly spoken but really great bloke. A lot of Christian broadcasting we enjoy today can be traced back to the tireless pioneering work Frank was involved with. Thanks mate! Grant

Frank was a man full of faith and wisdom and had a heart to see the gospel shared on the radio. He had a great knowledge in many areas from electrical, engineering, automotive to administration. God chose the right man to complement Richard Berry to help build the foundation for Radio Rhema now Rhema Media. I learned a great deal from him and had many adventures in putting up the radio masts with him. It was a privilege to have worked with him in the earlier years. David McDonald
