Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on February 17, 2024, aged 79 years. Dearly loved husband of Mary, loved father and father-in-law of Mark, Lisa and Michael Barton, Ange and Matt Martin, and Jo and Roland Hoogervorst, treasured Opa of Tanner, and Rosie; Jess, Sophie, and Lucy; Henry, Maggie, and Teddy, loved brother and brother-in-law of John and Colleen, Martin (deceased) and Paulien, and Andre (deceased) and Ria, loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Teresa of Lisieux Catholic Church, 8 Puriri Street, Riccarton, Tomorrow (Tuesday), at 9.30am, interment thereafter at the Yaldhurst Cemetery. The recitation of the rosary will be held in St Gregory’s Catholic Church, 30 Cotswold Avenue, Bishopdale, This Day (Monday) at 7.00pm
