Sincere condolences from France to all of Lennox' family and friends. I deputised for him at the Cathedral back in a day while he was on sabbatical overseas. He was a highly talented but modest player, a splendid friend from whom I learned much. I am saddened by this news and will remember him at mass on Trinity Sunday at the Abbaye du Thoronet in the Var. RIP indeed.

Dear Thelma and family. We are deeply saddened to hear of the sudden death of dear Lennox. Such a huge part of our boys lives over many years. And a presence in ours over all the following years, always caring about the progress of our family. We send our love and so sad for your huge loss. We are all away from Christchurch but we will be thinking of you all tomorrow as you celebrate and farewell your Lennox. Rosie and Mark Belton

My deepest sympathy to Thelma & Catherine on the loss of Lennox. “Mr Willett” as we used to call him as headmaster at St Mark’s Primary School 54y ago. He was a great teacher and an excellent choirmaster/organist. Lennox really made a very lasting impression on our young lives and I wish that I had sought him out in my adult life to tell him that. I can see him now, clear as day, speaking to us at assembly and prize giving and conducting the St Mark’s boys’ choir. Thank you Lennox for your exemplary achievements at St Mark’s - you taught us so much and your passion for music was magnificent. You lived a great life of service to education & music and the world is a sadder place without you. I am sure you will be playing the celestial organ and conducting the heavenly choir.
