What a wonderful funeral service. Gerald would be so thrilled. I sang in the choir at St Peter's and attended the Youth Group /Bible Class in 1958 and 1959 during Gerald's curacy. He was loved by all who attended. He often took the group ice skating, visited the glass works and best of all the Apex ice cream factory. I have followed his career since those days and just had to attend his funeral. May He Rest In Peace and Rise In Glory.

I was greatly saddened to learn of Father Gerald's death. I have had a lifelong association with the Fitzgerald family - his father delivered me, and his brother Beau delivered my children. Beau's daughters asked me to conduct the funerals of both Beau and Anne, which I shared with Father Gerald. I am thankful to have known him, even if briefly, and I send my sincere condolences and prayers to his family. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
