Dear Jill We were so sorry to learn about Richatd's passing. While we haven't caught up recently we will miss his irrepressible humour, his wide interest in art and music, the discussions about education, and his warm and inclusive nature (even to a St Andrew's boy!). We will never forget his many stories, such as when he returned from several days and nights foot slogging in the rain at Waiouru military camp, and of flying into and out of Kabul during the civil war. With our deepest sympathies. Richard & Christine

Friends in New Zealand let us know of Richard’s passing. We wish we could be there to join in what will be deserved celebration of a fine person. He was a great friend and mentor when we arrived at College in 2003. His sense of humour was ever present, and his wisdom invaluable. Rest in peace.
