Not necessarily in the traditional style, this is an ideal way for a smaller group to respectfully celebrate the life of a loved one.

Making use of one of our contemporary sites, guests are welcomed with refreshments and then have an opportunity to mingle in a relaxed way before any formalities. There is always someone who wants to speak or maybe a few who wish to share memories. We finish with words of goodbye before the casket is carried to the hearse.

Recognising the value of gathering informally with close friends to honour her life, Laura’s family wanted to do something a little different. A group of forty has been personally invited to share canapes and bubbles in the Torrence Lounge at our Rangiora venue, Wai-mana. During this time, Laura’s white casket, covered with her favourite spring flowers, is available for guests to write messages on, photos showcasing her life are rolling, and her most recent playlist is on in the background. Guests mingle for some time and when it feels right the MC gathers guests together to share stories before offering final words of goodbye. Included:

Taking place in one of our venues, your place of worship, or even in the family garden. The Classic Ceremony is a time honoured ritual that pays tribute in a formalised way.

A Classic Ceremony is usually led by a celebrant or minister, guests congregate and join the family as they pay tribute to a life well lived. Invited speakers deliver eulogies and tributes, and significant life events are celebrated with photo tributes and music.

At the conclusion of the service, pallbearers carry the casket to the hearse and your funeral director formally walks the hearse to the road. This can be followed by refreshments.

The Classic Ceremony is suitable for cremation, burial, or as a memorial service.

Scenario Example – $13,782

The family wish to have a service at our Westpark Chapel followed by refreshments in the William Lounge; they are expecting about 60 people to attend. There will be viewing at Westpark during the days prior to the service taking place. A celebrant will be engaged who will meet with the family to personalise the service. The family will also meet with the Graphics Team and with their input a photographic tribute and service sheets will be created.  A light oak casket has been chosen for elegance. Following the cremation, the family intends to scatter the ashes at a special place. Included:
